New Details on the Tragic Traffic Accident in Yerevan
In the framework of the criminal case initiated under Article 242, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia by the senior investigator Andranik Parsadanyan of the Yerevan investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, the identities of the deceased, the injured, and the drivers involved in the major and tragic traffic accident that occurred on March 12 on Sebastia Street, near the Malatia-Sebastia district administration, have been clarified.
According to shamshyan.com, it has been determined that the Nissan was driven by 19-year-old Edgar Ghazaryan, a resident of Yerevan, while the first Toyota was driven by 45-year-old Hayk Poghosyan, also from Yerevan, and another Toyota was driven by 70-year-old Sos Ghahramanyan from Kotayk Province.
As a result of the accident, Edgar Ghazaryan was taken to Astghik Medical Center with bodily injuries, while his passengers—18-year-old Hayk Ghazaryan and 18-year-old Erik Avetisyan—were transported to St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center, and another passenger, 19-year-old Hovhannes Petrosyan from Yerevan, died at the scene.
A passenger in the Toyota, 24-year-old Margarita Beglaryan from Yerevan, was also transported with bodily injuries to Armenia Medical Center. Among the drivers, Edgar Ghazaryan did not possess a driving license.
As previously reported by the photojournalist at the scene, a major and tragic traffic accident occurred in Yerevan on March 12. Around 22:00, vehicles including a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, a Toyota Ipsum, and a Nissan Teana collided in front of 56 Sebastia Street.
As a result of the accident, one person died at the scene, while several individuals received first aid from the emergency medical teams who arrived promptly from the Yerevan 1-03 ambulance service.
