Warning to Artsakh Citizens: 2 Fires Recorded Due to Gas Cylinder Explosions

Dear compatriots,

Due to the absence of natural gas supply, the majority of citizens in Artsakh are currently using gas cylinders for domestic purposes, which are highly dangerous in terms of fire safety.

The Emergency Situations Ministry's 911 call center has already recorded 2 fire incidents caused by gas cylinder explosions. Fortunately, no serious damages have been reported in either case.

An explosion of a gas cylinder in residential premises is an emergency situation that can lead to very serious consequences, especially if there are other items near the cylinder. Such an emergency can result not only in property destruction but also in the loss of human lives.

The issue with metal cylinders is that it is extremely difficult to monitor the gas levels within them. An explosion can also occur if the gas ratio in the cylinder does not meet the standards.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges Artsakh citizens to strictly adhere to fire safety regulations to avoid unwanted emergencies and to prevent unfortunate incidents.
