Several Officials Dismissed from Military Service
The Acting President of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, has signed decrees according to which several officials of the Armed Forces have been dismissed. “Based on the Prime Minister's proposal and following the Article 133, Part 1 of the Constitution, as well as the Article 40, Part 3 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel, Armen Harutyunyan is relieved of his duties as the Head of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia,” reads one of the decrees.
In another decree, Andranik Makaryan has been dismissed from the position of Deputy Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff. “Based on the Prime Minister’s proposal and in accordance with Article 133, Part 1 of the Constitution, as well as Article 40, Part 3 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel, Andranik Makaryan is relieved of his duties as the Head of the Main Department of Preparedness of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces,” states the decree.
“Based on the Prime Minister's proposal, in accordance with Article 133, Part 1 of the Constitution, as well as Article 40, Part 1, Clause 11 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel, Arthur Poghosyan is relieved of his duties as the Head of the Department of Moral-Psychological Support of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia,” mentions another decree.
In a further decree signed by Alen Simonyan, Armen Arushanyan has been dismissed from the position of Head of the Engineering Forces Directorate of the Armed Forces. “Based on the Prime Minister’s proposal and following Article 133, Part 1 of the Constitution, as well as Article 40, Part 1, Clause 11 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel, Armen Arushanyan is relieved of his duties as the Head of the Engineering Forces Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia,” the document states.
