Aliyev Discusses Relations with Armenia
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, believes that relations between Baku and Yerevan will normalize. He made this statement during a meeting with leaders of Russian media at the TASS editors' club.
“I believe that after the end of the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, relations with Armenia will also normalize. In any case, we have officially announced that we want to sign a peace treaty with Armenia. Most likely, this will happen at some point, but we must realistically consider the current geopolitical realities and not wish for what is not yet achievable. Instead, we need to move forward to establish a strong and sustainable peace in the Caucasus,” said the President of Azerbaijan.
