Deputy Minister of Defense Did Not Clearly Respond to the Question About Withdrawal from Enemy Forces in Syunik
The Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia, Arman Sargsyan, neither confirmed nor denied the reports about the withdrawal from the Azerbaijani forces in the Syunik province, specifically in Pailasar and Kachalasar.
During a press briefing with journalists, Sargsyan noted that if there is a need to disclose such information, it will be addressed in statements released by the Ministry of Defense press service.
It should be mentioned that recently the head of the enlarged community of Kapan stated about this matter, emphasizing that for at least 20 days, there have been no enemy troops stationed in that area.
When asked why the Armenian Armed Forces are not redeploying to their positions again, he stressed, “It is not desirable to have such open public discussions about troop movements and positions. I ask that we speak less about our armed forces and security issues,” said Arman Sargsyan.
He only mentioned that, to the delight of Armenia, despite the Azerbaijani side continuously disseminating information that the Armenian side is provoking, there is relative calm at the border.
