Zelensky Thanks Erdogan
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation today with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which he expressed his gratitude to Erdogan for supporting Kyiv in light of Russia's decisions regarding Donbas.
"I also thanked him for supporting the initiative to hold a summit with the participation of the UN Security Council members, as well as representatives from Ukraine, Turkey, and Germany," wrote the Ukrainian president.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish president today deemed unacceptable Russia's decision to recognize the sovereignty of the so-called DNR and LNR. According to him, this act violates Ukraine's political unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Erdogan called for dialogue between the parties.
The Turkish president had defended Kyiv's initiative to conduct negotiations involving representatives of permanent UN Security Council members, as well as those from Ukraine, Turkey, and Germany.
