Putin Ready to Negotiate: Peskov Outlines Conditions
Russian President Vladimir Putin is prepared to negotiate regarding security guarantees. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, in an interview with CNN on Monday.
Peskov described talks of a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine as unfounded tension and emphasized that Russia does not pose a threat to anyone.
“First of all, President Putin has always demanded negotiations and diplomacy. In fact, he was the one who initiated the discussion on security guarantees for the Russian Federation. Ukraine is only a part of the larger issue of Russia's security guarantees, and of course, President Putin is ready to negotiate,” Peskov said.
