Residents of Khndzoresk Discontented with Crop Selling Issues; Governor Assures That the Matter is Resolved
Residents of Khndzoresk village have staged a protest regarding issues related to the sale of their crops. They met with Armavir Governor Vahram Khachaturyan to express their concerns, as reported by "Fastinfo."
One local resident stated, "Currently, the factory is buying the crops for 30 drams, while a truck is taking them for 100 drams at this very moment." The governor responded, saying, "Now that the truck is taking it, are you not going to pay 100 drams for one truck? The truck will say, 'Come, give 150 drams instead.' Brother, our issue is selling your crops; it’s not my job to worry about what happens to those goods once they are taken."
The situation became tense for a moment as the gathered individuals began to ignore the governor, resulting in noise and agitation. One participant remarked that the dried fruit producers wish to operate under their own terms, rather than those proposed by the governor's office.
Referring to a statement made today indicating that Khndzoresk residents may block a road tomorrow, the governor asserted that there is no need for such actions, claiming the issue has been resolved. "There is no need to gather and block the road; the problem has been solved, and our people’s crops are being marketed. The people can say 500 drams, but it doesn’t work like that," he added.
