Kazakhstan's President on the Current Situation in the Country
Following the unrest that took place in early January, the situation in Kazakhstan has fully stabilized, and order has been restored. This was stated on Thursday by the President of the Republic, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during a meeting of the Security Council, as reported by TASS.
"The President of the Security Council, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, emphasized that the situation in the country has completely stabilized, order has been restored, and all measures are being taken to enhance the protection levels for individuals, society, and the state," the press service of the President of Kazakhstan stated.
Tokayev also instructed that concrete measures aimed at strengthening all aspects of national security should be implemented immediately. The President noted that all state bodies must draw lessons from the recent events, and the updated national security system must be prepared to respond to challenges of any complexity.
