A Woman Protests Outside Zelensky's Office

A Femen activist has staged a protest outside President Zelensky's office against the mobilization of women.

Just days ago, it became known that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine had issued an order under which women from over 100 professions up to the age of 60 would be transferred to military service. To be recruited, they must undergo a medical examination. Women serving in the military will include pharmacists, veterinarians, lawyers, journalists, secretaries, salespeople, and many others.

Previously, President Volodymyr Zelensky had stated multiple times that, in case of necessity, everyone, including the elderly and women, would be called to serve to protect the Republic from military aggression. Currently, women with qualifications from the Ministry of Defense’s list will not be able to find employment if they do not have a military ticket.

Moreover, former Minister of Defense Anatoliy Hrytsenko believes that the execution of the order may not be feasible due to the capacity of military enlistment offices. He estimates that it will take at least a year and a half to two years for all the women on the list to obtain military tickets.
