A Historic Major Achievement: Aliyev Announces Milli Mejlis Will Approve Shusha Declaration

The Shusha Declaration is an agreement signed by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on June 15, 2021, regarding cooperation. The declaration entails mutual military assistance and close cooperation in the defense industry sector.

Aliyev referred to the declaration as a 'historic major achievement.' He also spoke about the so-called 'Zangezur Corridor,' stating that 'it has become possible due to the geopolitical new situation created after the Nagorno-Karabakh war.'
