Numerous Flowers and Wreaths at the Statue of Solomon Teylerian: Action in Maralik
The 'Liberation' movement held an action in Maralik, placing flowers and wreaths at the statue of Solomon Teylerian.
'A few days ago, we encountered information in the media that the statue of Solomon Teylerian installed in Maralik might be dismantled in the coming months in the name of establishing Armenian-Turkish relations. We are very hopeful that this news is merely an attempt to monitor the sentiments of the Armenian community. Nevertheless, to demonstrate the importance of Teylerian and his monument to us, we began the action by laying wreaths and flowers at his feet. During this time, we received numerous letters from our compatriots in the Diaspora who wish to participate in our action and pay tribute in honor of this great hero of the Armenian people. The 'Liberation' movement expresses its gratitude to all those who support our initiative. We are confident that many will join the action, making it truly national. Solomon Teylerian is an example for every Armenian and a reminder to every traitor that each of them is accountable for their actions. We are all the children of Solomon. We will not surrender,' the statement from the movement reads.
It should be noted that recently, the press has circulated information that against the backdrop of improving Armenian-Turkish relations, the statue might be dismantled.
