A New Uprising Among Drivers in Armenia: Compressed Natural Gas Prices May Rise in April
A new uprising is brewing among drivers in Armenia. The price of compressed natural gas may increase starting this April. Employees at gas stations shared this information in an interview with the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper. According to them, the price for one kilogram of compressed natural gas could rise by more than 20-30 drams.
It is also possible that this increase will lead to higher fares for passenger transportation. Currently, the cost of one kilogram of compressed natural gas at gas stations in Yerevan is sold at 330-340 drams, while in the regions, it is 280 drams.
It is noteworthy that Gazprom Armenia LLC has applied to the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia with a request to review the tariffs for natural gas sold to consumers. It has been revealed that the application sent by Gazprom Armenia to the Commission has forced gas station managers to consider raising gas prices.
