13 Million Drams Stolen from Cash Register
On December 22, 2021, at 22:45, the police operational management center received a report from the Shengavit division that a man who called 1-02 had informed that money had been stolen from the cash register of one of the LLCs. This was reported by the Police.
The dispatched operational group determined that between 22:00 and 22:30, unidentified individuals wearing medical masks had entered the cash cashier's office of the LLC and openly stolen approximately 13 million drams.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 175 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
Due to the joint operational-investigative activities of the criminal detectives of the police department of Yerevan and the Shengavit division, the identities of the individuals who committed the robbery have been established. Two men, aged 30 and 34, residents of Yerevan, were identified and apprehended by special forces on January 18 on Shahamyryan Street, along with a “Mercedes” vehicle.
The vehicle has been moved to a secure area of the division. Measures are being undertaken to recover the stolen property. The investigation is ongoing.
