Disguised as an Armenian Woman, Sent Nude Photos: Azerbaijani Special Services Induced a Resident of Artsakh to Spy
The National Security Service of the Republic of Artsakh has reported the discovery of another incident where Azerbaijani special services have attempted to induce a resident of Artsakh to engage in espionage.
In recent days, Azerbaijani special services have intensified their attempts to establish contact with individuals residing in Artsakh through social networks, aiming to spread panic among them and gather information.
In this latest case, a Telegram user registered under a false name, posing as an Armenian woman, initially engaged in a conversation aimed at forming a close connection with a resident of Artsakh. The individual sent nude photos and requested similar pictures in return, after which the communication's content was threatened to be publicized unless information, including photographs of various locations, was provided. They also promised to pay for the services rendered, suggesting funds would be transferred to a previously provided bank account.
The National Security Service of the Republic of Artsakh is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident, the content and extent of the information provided to Azerbaijani special services, as well as the motives and objectives behind the actions.
At the same time, we once again urge individuals to avoid interacting with unfamiliar users on social networks and to refrain from accepting dubious offers, as well as from providing information that could threaten the security of the Republic of Artsakh. Any instances of such requests or offers should be reported immediately to the National Security Service of Artsakh.
