Zakir Hasanov Meets with New Commander of Russian Peacekeeping Forces in Nagorno-Karabakh
The new commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, Andrei Volkov, met with Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense Zakir Hasanov to discuss the situation in the peacekeepers' area of responsibility. This has been reported by Azerbaijani media.
The meeting also included Rustam Muradov, the former commander of the peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh and the deputy commander of the Southern Military District.
Volkov has replaced Hero of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Gennady Anashkin, based on a rotation principle.
