TikTok Surpasses Google in Visits

The social media platform TikTok, known for the sharing and creation of short videos, became the most visited internet domain in the world in 2021, surpassing last year's leader, Google. This was reported by Instagram, citing Cloudflare.

TikTok first reached the top spot on February 17, and since August 10, it has consistently outperformed Google in terms of daily visits.

Owned by the Chinese company ByteDance Ltd., TikTok previously reported having over one billion active users per month.

In the ranking of the most visited domains (including websites and apps) for the past year, the third position was taken by the social network Facebook, followed by Microsoft in fourth place and Apple in fifth. Other notable entries in the top ten include Amazon, Netflix, YouTube, Twitter, and WhatsApp.
