Fully Renovated and Modernized 3 Wagons for the Metro
The Yerevan Metro's rolling stock has been replenished with three fully renovated and modernized wagons. Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan has familiarized himself with the amenities of this new rolling stock. With the new trains coming into service, there will now be 12 operational trains on the main line.
This upgrade significantly eases the comfortable transport of passengers, as the metro now has three sets of three wagons each. The renovation and modernization of these wagons have been carried out solely with funds saved by the metro.
Currently, the metro operates over 12.1 kilometers of track, with 10 stations. The rolling stock includes 45 wagons, of which 33 are in service. The metro transports over 20 million passengers annually, according to a recent post on the metro's Facebook page.
