Attention: Gagik Surenyans on Weather Conditions

The Deputy Director of the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, Gagik Surenyans, has announced:

"The Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Republic informs about a WARNING. Due to the intrusion of a cold atmospheric front on the afternoon of December 21 and the night of December 21-22, intermittent precipitation is expected across the entire territory of the Republic. In mountainous and pre-mountainous areas, this precipitation will last throughout the day, while in valley areas, it will occur in the evening hours in the form of snow.

In certain areas, an increase in wind intensity is anticipated, reaching 18-23 m/s, with blizzard conditions and low horizontal visibility expected in mountainous regions. During the day and in the evening hours in mountainous and pre-mountainous areas, as well as in the valley regions on the night of December 21-22, roads will be covered with black ice.

The air temperature will gradually decrease by 14-16 degrees at night and by 10-12 degrees during the day across the entire territory of the Republic from December 21-26 compared to today."
