Why Has the National Liberation Movement Become Passive? Hoghikyan Comments

Naïri Hoghikyan, a founding member of the National Liberation Movement and a television commentator, informed ArmDaily.am in an interview that they continue to work.

Hoghikyan noted that their work at the moment is not passive, but rather invisible, adding that just a few days ago there were accusations against them suggesting that their movement has come to an end, has fragmented, and that they are no longer doing anything. However, suddenly, they entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and took concrete action.

"We are not passive; for example, three days ago we held a large auto rally from Tsitsernakaberd to Sardarapat. It was an informational auto rally, and we visited 15 communities in Armenia throughout one day, including in Armavir and Ararat regions and Yerevan. We conducted awareness actions as we had announced earlier, and we are going community by community to inform people about the dangers threatening our country and their solutions," said Hoghikyan.

In Yerevan, they are planning upcoming actions, but they are aware that during this pre-holiday period, it is winter, it is cold, and people are preparing for the New Year, so bringing them out to the square is not the most sensible option. "We prefer, instead of gathering in squares, to go to communities, speak with people individually, door to door, and present our message," Hoghikyan added.
