What Hopes Does Russia Pin on Brussels Discussions
Russia welcomes the continuation of direct communications between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a briefing, in reference to the meeting that took place between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Brussels on December 14.
“The meeting of the two leaders took place last night, and information about the content of the discussion is still coming in; we are analyzing it,” noted Zakharova.
According to her, Russia hopes that the results of the Brussels discussions will contribute to the further implementation of the trilateral agreements between the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia, which were reached during the previous three meetings.
