The Number of Job Seekers Increased Compared to Last Year
According to the data from the Employment Provision and Development Agency, as of October 1, 2021, the number of job seekers registered in territorial centers reached 89.1 thousand people, reflecting an increase of 0.6% compared to the same period last year.
This information is provided by the State Employment Agency.
Rural residents accounted for 38.3% of job seekers, or 34.2 thousand people, compared to 33.3 thousand last year. The number of unemployed individuals constitutes 66.8% of job seekers, amounting to 59.5 thousand people. This figure has decreased by 1.1% compared to the same period last year.
The number of unemployed women is 64.3% of the unemployed, or 38.3 thousand people; the youth make up 18.7%, or 11.1 thousand people; while the number of unemployed individuals with disabilities is 4.3%, or 2.6 thousand people.
According to the State Employment Agency, a significant portion of the unemployed have higher education, particularly in the fields of humanities, education and pedagogy, economics and management, as well as those with vocational education in education, healthcare, economics and management, and services, alongside preliminary vocational education specializing in arts and design, economics and management, and light industry. Persons without a profession represent 64.6% of the total.
