VIDEO: Authorities Prevent Criminal Meeting in Yerevan, Arrest Made
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 235, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code in the central police department. According to shamshyan.com, this case was opened following a special operation conducted by the criminal investigation department of Yerevan police and the "red berets" on Heratsi Street on November 16, resulting in the detention of criminal authorities.
According to the website's information, a resident of Yerevan, 37-year-old Armen Harutyunyan, has been arrested as a suspect in the initiated criminal case, during a personal search of whom a Makarov-type 9mm pistol loaded with 6 bullets was found. A forensic examination has been appointed on this fact.
On the same day, apart from the individuals mentioned, the police carried out another operation in Yerevan at the same hour, preventing a gang confrontation. From the "Venice" hotel complex located in the Erebuni administrative area, the police brought in Andranik Sogoyan, known as "Zap," a so-called lawmaker, recently arrived from Moscow, as well as Zhivair Brutyan, known as "Moscow Aramchon" and "Malatya Jiro."
The police believe that operational actions were crucial; had they not acted promptly, a confrontation could have occurred during the meeting of these individuals. A total of three people have been brought to the central police department as a result of the operation. Among them was 39-year-old Vardges Ispriyan, known in the criminal world as "Monument Vardgesik," 35-year-old Arthur Pogharyan, known as "Third Section Ruz Arthur" and 37-year-old Armen Harutyunyan, known as "Third Section Armenchik." They had been in armored Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles, with one of them carrying a Makarov-type pistol.
