Only Iranian trucks that are willing to pay the fee required at the Azerbaijani checkpoint use the Goris-Kapan road. The Sputnik Armenia filming crew has captured the current state of the roads in Syunik.

The alternative road to the Goris-Kapan highway, which has been closed by Azerbaijan, is currently undergoing active renovations. The Sputnik Armenia filming crew documented that while earthworks are in progress, the previous narrow road is being widened significantly.

Of the 10 km of the Khot-Depi Vorotan road, 6 km have already been expanded and leveled. Nevertheless, the remaining part of the alternative road is still difficult to navigate. It is only accessible by off-road vehicles.
