«In Armenia, nearly two people die from COVID-19 every hour» - Armen Sogoyan
«In Armenia, nearly two people die from COVID every hour, while the birth rate is lower,» stated Armen Sogoyan, President of the Armenian Psychiatric Association, during a discussion at the Media Center.
He noted that COVID affects all human organ systems, including the central nervous system, and that human psyche is one of the characteristics of the central nervous system. If the brain is affected at the microscale, this can lead to disruptions in mental health, starting from cognitive function depression, difficulties in drawing conclusions, to memory deterioration, distortion of taste and smell, and even hallucinations related to taste and smell. Additionally, various diseases may worsen as a result.
