COVID-19 Cases Registered in Several Kindergartens in Yerevan
ArmDaily.am has been receiving regular reports from readers indicating that COVID-19 cases have been registered in several kindergartens in Yerevan, leading to the periodic closure of groups.
In response to our inquiry, the press secretary of the Yerevan City Hall, Hakob Karapetyan, stated that currently, 11 groups and one kindergarten have been closed due to COVID-19.
It is noteworthy that the number of COVID-19 infected individuals in Armenia has increased by 2,146 in the last day, totaling 291,052. At present, 25,374 people are undergoing treatment (+965), with 1,958,792 tests conducted (+18,598), and 258,486 individuals have recovered from the virus (+1,134).
In the past day, 42 people have died from the coronavirus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 5,944. Additionally, the number of deaths of individuals infected with COVID-19 but who died from other causes has increased by five, reaching 1,248.
