Iranian Truck Rolls Down Slope in Syunik, Driver Trapped in Cabin
On October 17, at 00:06, the Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that an accident occurred on the Meghri-Kapan highway, in an area known as "Tsak Kar"; there are injuries reported.
A team from the Fire and Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations dispatched to the scene. It was found that at the 21st kilometer of the M-2 highway section, a fuel tank truck, driven by an Iranian citizen, J.S., born in 1984, had veered off the roadway and rolled down the slope (approximately 100 meters), resulting in the driver becoming trapped in the cabin.
Rescuers successfully extracted the driver from the vehicle and transported him to an ambulance. The injured individual was hospitalized at the Meghri Medical Center, where doctors assessed his condition as satisfactory.
