Ceiling Collapse in Batumi Hospital Room with Four Children Present
A suspended ceiling has collapsed in one of the patient rooms at the central hospital for mothers and children named after Iashvili in Batumi. This was reported by 1tv.ge.
At the time of the accident, four children were present, and fortunately, no one was injured.
Witnesses of the incident shared information and video footage on social media. Following the accident, dissatisfied parents called the police to the clinic.
According to Tamar Bakhtadze, the clinic's director, the cause of the incident will be determined after an investigation. "The suspended ceiling fell. Four patients were present, and none of them were harmed. Of course, there was an emotional reaction from the parents, but fortunately, no damage was caused by this incident. The children are safe. Some have been discharged, while others have been moved to another area of the clinic. Representatives from the city hall and the rescue service came to assess the situation. An investigation is underway, and we will determine the cause later," Bakhtadze stated.
