Anna Mkrtchyan: 'Yerevan and Baku are Synchronizing Efforts to Eradicate Armenian Statehood'
Yerevan and Baku are synchronizing efforts to eradicate Armenian statehood. This was stated by Anna Mkrtchyan, a member of the 'I Have Honor' faction, during a conversation with reporters.
She pointed out that Aliyev speaks of the necessity to carry out constitutional changes in Armenia, and shortly after, discussions on this topic begin.
‘The Armenian authorities are reducing the military, while Aliyev claims that Armenia has no right to maintain an army. We say that a change of power is necessary to conduct negotiations with the adversary, so that Baku can no longer exert pressure on the Armenian side. The authorities are doing everything possible to ensure that the word 'Artsakh' does not sound in parliament, and as a result, they have failed to establish a corresponding commission initiated by the opposition. The thoughts about preserving Armenia's territorial integrity are now utopian. The authorities do not deny that they are traitors and have already escalated to direct threats, including against the opposition. Law enforcement agencies are carrying out detentions and arrests on the orders of Pashinyan. They are imprisoning those whom Pashinyan wants to isolate. However, I am confident that such methods will not intimidate the opposition. This is beyond the control of the ruling regime, and this can be called a small success,’ Mkrtchyan added.
