Discussion on Vaccination Exemption for Recovered Patients
Hraparak.am reports that the Ministry of Health is preparing to ease anti-COVID regulations. According to our information, the ministry is currently discussing that those who were infected three months ago may not need to be vaccinated or undergo PCR testing. Attempts to reach Ministry spokesperson Hripsime Khachatryan over the past two days were unsuccessful, leading to speculation that she may have been dismissed from her position. However, yesterday she finally responded to our inquiry after much difficulty. Initially, she stated, 'There is no such thing.' Shortly after, she admitted, 'There is no decision. It was just a routine working discussion.'
If such a decision is made, chaos will likely deepen, as individuals will start providing certificates of their illness, and inspectors will become tangled in a deluge of paperwork, along with the directors. If such a measure was possible, it could have been discussed and decided a few months ago. This also highlights the disorganized and chaotic situation prevailing in the management sector, which exists in all systems, including healthcare.
Incidentally, a donation of 50,000 doses of the American 'Moderna' 'Spikevax' vaccine from the Lithuanian government has already arrived in Armenia. Following distribution, the imported batch will be available in primary health care and mobile vaccination points. Like other vaccines being used in Armenia, the 'Spikevax' vaccine is also intended for vaccination against the coronavirus for individuals aged 18 and above.
