“Do you know that we are just like negros to you?”: A man from Hadrut
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs has met with the displaced residents of Hadrut. They discussed issues related to financial support, with the government assuring them that the problem would be resolved in the coming days. However, the residents of Hadrut expressed their dissatisfaction with the response.
“If there is no concrete solution, we are gathering our people right now to go to the headquarters of Artsakh and say, 'We have come for the rents of our apartments,'” declared one of the participants of the protest.
“All of us gathered here are being evicted from our homes. We will stay here until our rents are paid,” he added.
“They call us in, summon us, and we come here in this cold, standing here, being deceived. Can you understand that we are like negros to you? The government of Armenia does not want to resolve this issue, nor does the government of Artsakh. Whom shall we demand our rents from? We do not want to become wanderers,” said the man.
