Shooting at an Opel Vehicle Due to Failure to Yield
On July 19, the operational management center received a report from the Nor Nork division of the police stating that an unknown individual fired at an Opel vehicle from a Lexus, damaging the engine cover, due to a failure to yield on Davit Bek Street. This information has been confirmed by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
Officers from the Nor Nork police division, in cooperation with investigators from the city police, quickly identified the Lexus's license plates. After locating the vehicle, it was moved to a secured area of the division.
Through further actions, factual data was obtained revealing that the driver of the Lexus is a 50-year-old resident of Komitas Avenue. An announcement was made for his arrest.
Following explanatory work with relatives, the wanted individual turned himself in on September 24 at the investigative division of the Avan and Nor Nork administrative regions, bringing along the firearm.
The 50-year-old man has been arrested. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
