The Taliban have attacked journalists and subjected them to beatings. Photographs of the journalists have been released, showing numerous wounds caused by whip and rope strikes.
During a demonstration, five employees of the Etilaatroz news agency were arrested, including the editor-in-chief, Hadem Hossein Karim. They were released later.
