Minister Announces Crime: Vehicle of Dilijan National Park's Head of Protection Service Torched

Yesterday, just past midnight, an unknown individual or individuals set fire to the official vehicle of the head of the Protection Service of the Dilijan National Park in Dilijan city.

This was reported by the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia, Romanos Petrosyan, on his Facebook page, noting that they have naturally notified the Police of Armenia about the incident. Currently, materials are being prepared (in the investigation phase).

“We have reasonable suspicions that this act is connected to his professional activities. We are confident that law enforcement will solve the case in a short time frame, and it will receive an appropriate legal assessment. I sternly warn any possible perpetrators and/or instigators: particularly in the area of environmental protection and maintenance, the supremacy of the law is non-negotiable. Our relentless fight will be advanced with even greater momentum and dedication for the sake of the Republic of Armenia and its citizens,” concluded the minister, attaching photos of the incident.
