VIDEO: Open Manhole Creates Emergency Situations for Two Months, Residents' Complaints Go Unanswered
For nearly two months, residents of Papazyan Street in the Arabkir administrative district have reported an open manhole to the Yerevan City Hall. However, their complaints have gone unanswered by the municipality.
Citizens claim that due to the inaction of the Yerevan City Hall and the "Veolia Jur" company, the manhole has not been repaired, and the area has not been cordoned off. As a result, vehicles, especially during evening hours, are damaged when they fall into the manhole, creating emergency situations.
Auroranews contacted the city hall, where they stated that the municipality acts only as an intermediary and is not authorized to deal with issues related to manholes. They mentioned that the matter falls under the jurisdiction of "Veolia Jur" company. Our calls to "Veolia Jur" went unanswered.
