Turkey Unable to Bear Additional Migration Burden from Syria or Afghanistan, Erdoğan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced that Turkey is withdrawing its military forces from Afghanistan. This was reported by the Turkish Anadolu news agency.
Erdoğan emphasized that the future of the processes in Afghanistan will be determined not by words, but by the actions of the Taliban.
“Ensuring stability in Afghanistan is of special significance. To achieve this goal, Ankara will continue to engage in close dialogue with all parties in Afghanistan,” Erdoğan stated.
He added that Turkey, as a country that has opened its doors to more than 5 million refugees and migrants, is unable to handle an additional burden of migration from Syria or Afghanistan.
