Turkey Will Not Grant Asylum to Afghans, Says Cavusoglu
Turkey's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mevlut Cavusoglu, has announced that Turkey does not plan to grant asylum to Afghan refugees. According to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as reported by Armenpress, he stated, "We previously announced that Turkey would not issue visas for this purpose. All statements made in the media regarding this issue are not accurate," Cavusoglu added.
This statement comes as a response to reports in the media suggesting that Turkey was planning to establish a separate center for Afghan refugees.
