We Now Have Three Hostage MPs: Artur Minasyan

At this moment, we now have three MPs taken hostage, five candidates for MPs, and numerous unlawful criminal prosecutions against individuals supporting the 'Armenia' bloc and the opposition in general. This was stated by Artur Minasyan, the secretary of the 'Armenia' faction in the National Assembly, during a press conference.

"This government, which has led Armenia to defeat and drawn us into a treacherous war, bringing so many losses and essentially serving the agenda of foreign powers, is systematically fighting against the defenders of the homeland. Furthermore, they are taking direct actions to establish a dictatorship. They do not even shy away from this and openly express it; it is written in the false document they themselves submitted, the so-called government program," Minasyan noted, adding that it is clearly stated that the courts, the prosecutor's office, the preliminary investigation, and the police should fulfill the wishes of the government.

According to him, we are currently witnessing this behavior. Minasyan observed that this is not only a violation of the fundamental principle of the separation and balance of powers guaranteed by the Constitution and international law but also an action aimed at establishing a dictatorship and conducting obvious unlawful criminal prosecutions against individuals, which is aimed at forming a large number of political prisoners in Armenia.
