Another Earthquake Registered
On August 17, 2021, at 18:06 local time (14:06 GMT), the seismic network of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia registered an earthquake in the border zone between Georgia and Armenia, 12 km northeast of the village of Bavra, at coordinates 41.19° North latitude and 43.92° East longitude. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km and had a magnitude of 3.3.
The intensity of the underground shock in the epicentral area was measured at 4-5 points. The earthquake was felt in the Shirak region of Armenia, in the villages of Ashotsk, Saragyugh, Bavra, and Tavshut, with an intensity of 3 points.
