New Details on Kotayk Car Accident: Deceased Family Included Father, Mother, Son, and Artsakh Resident
On August 9, a tragic car accident occurred in the Kotayk region, revealing the identities of the deceased driver and passengers in the 'Opel', according to shamshyan.com.
According to the source, the car was driven by 35-year-old Ararat Gasparyan, a resident of Martuni in Artsakh, who died at the scene. The deceased passengers were his wife, 31-year-old Anush Gasparyan, and their son, 7-year-old Haik Gasparyan, both residents of Yerevan.
Earlier reports indicated that a tragic car accident happened in the Kotayk region. Around 5:50 PM, for reasons still unknown, the 'Opel' vehicle veered off the road on the Yerevan-Sevan highway at the 17 km mark and collided with a concrete pillar of a bridge. As a result of the accident, three individuals died—two at the scene and one while being transported to the hospital. One of the deceased had to be extricated from the vehicle by rescuers using special equipment.
A criminal case has been initiated at the Abovyan investigative division under Article 242, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
