Floods Reach Neighboring Iran: Eight Dead
Eight people have died in Iran due to floods, with two others reported missing. As reported by RIA Novosti, the official representative of Iran's Red Crescent Society, Mohammad Hasan Kousian, provided the update.
“Red Crescent workers have been conducting rescue operations in East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Tehran, Zanjan, Semnan, Qazvin, Kurdistan, Kerman, Mazandaran, and Hormozgan provinces. Unfortunately, there are eight fatalities, six of whom are in Qazvin province, one in West Azerbaijan, and another in Savadkuh,” Kousian stated. He also mentioned that two people are missing in Qazvin, and search efforts are ongoing.
According to Kousian, 978 people have been rescued, three of whom sustained injuries. It is noteworthy that Iran has been experiencing flooding for over a week.
