Ukraine Could Produce Patriot Missiles Faster and Cheaper Than the U.S.
Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, companies operating in the U.S., are concerned that Ukraine might produce missiles intended for Patriot missile defense systems faster and at a lower cost than large factories in the U.S.
A representative of the Republican Party stated in an interview with The Atlantic why Washington has not yet provided Ukraine with a license for the production of Patriot missile launchers. He emphasized that both Raytheon and Lockheed Martin fear that Ukrainian engineers could enhance the technology and then organize mass production of the missiles at a speed and cost significantly lower than that of American operational production capabilities.
