France and Greece Refuse to Send Firefighter Planes to Turkey: Cavusoglu
Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has complained that France and Greece have declined to send firefighter planes to Turkey. This was reported by the Russian news agency TASS, citing the Turkish newspaper Yeni Safak.
“Turkey, of course, accepts the assistance offered by other countries. France initially offered to send a plane, but then canceled its offer. Greece first stated that it would send a plane, but later withdrew from it because fires broke out in their own country,” Cavusoglu said.
Earlier, Turkish media reported that Ankara itself had allegedly refused assistance from several countries.
