We will uproot such figures and phenomena from our system: Romanos Petrosyan
We will uproot such figures and phenomena from our system: This was stated by Armenia's Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan on his Facebook page, referring to the discovery of the case of hunting a bezoar goat.
“We will uproot such figures and phenomena from our system. The police have uncovered a case of hunting a bezoar goat. A criminal case has been initiated under the first part of Article 294 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (Illegal hunting committed using official position). The director of the 'Hayantar' subdivision has been arrested. I strongly condemn such despicable working methods. This kind of behavior is irrevocably rejected from the perspective of the quality of our state and the perception of society regarding the state.
The phenomenon is doubly unacceptable when its author is a representative of our system, who is supposed to serve as an example of care for the environment through their conduct. And when we carry out dismissals and appoint service investigations, it is precisely within the framework of combating such unacceptable working methods. The supremacy of law is functioning in the Republic of Armenia. I urge my colleagues in the Ministry of Environment and its subordinate units to act exclusively within the framework of the law and their authorities: anyone who prioritizes personal gain over public and state interest will be rejected and strictly punished, regardless of their position. From now on, we will be even more vigilant in uprooting such figures and phenomena from our system,” he wrote.
