Views of the Authorities of Armenia and Azerbaijan on the Artsakh Issue Align: There Is No Artsakh Problem, Tigran Abrahamyan
The views of the authorities of Armenia and Azerbaijan on this issue, with certain detailed differences, align: there is no Artsakh problem, the issue is closed. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, the head of the 'Henaket' analytical center and a candidate for parliament from the 'Honorary' alliance, on his Facebook page.
“During the campaign, one of the most frequently asked questions on various platforms was: how do you see the process of resolving the Artsakh issue, from which point should we start, on what basis, and so on. It seems that this should be a primary concern for people, but I think it isn’t. The current authorities either do not talk about this crucial issue for Armenia and Artsakh or provide some fragmented statements. And there is no public demand to clarify or understand what the government will do regarding this process.”
“The authorities certainly have a stance on this issue that they will not voice publicly. The viewpoints of the authorities of Armenia and Azerbaijan align on this issue, with certain detailed differences: there is no Artsakh problem, the issue is closed. Those who think that the Artsakh issue or its resolution concerns only the people of Artsakh are gravely mistaken. The matter of Artsakh is directly related to the personal security of every Armenian living in Armenia, and such an inglorious closure of the topic poses a direct threat to each of us,” he wrote.
