Intense Discussions in the CP: Who Will Be the Faction Leader?
Intense discussions continue within the "Civil Contract" party. Currently, according to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd," the focus is on the issue of positions, specifically who should enter parliament and who should not.
At this moment, debates are particularly centered around the faction leader, as Lilit Makunts' appointment has been confirmed, and she is expected to be appointed as Armenia's ambassador to the USA by early July.
At present, the probable candidate for the faction leader is Arpi Davoyan, whose candidacy is being met with reluctance by some, as he is considered a controversial figure, whereas Lilit Makunts was known for smoothing out sharp edges in discussions.
Some members within the party believe that the faction should be led by a male leader. Nevertheless, Davoyan's candidacy remains the most likely option. It is also possible that Davoyan may be rejected.
