Our Two Countries Have Major Programs: Biden Summarizes Meeting with Macron and Erdogan
US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron have summarized the outcomes of their meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which took place in Brussels. Following the meeting with Erdogan within the framework of NATO, Macron stated that the discussion was conducted in a positive atmosphere. However, considering Erdogan's previous offensive remarks against him and the ensuing debate, Macron noted that there was 'no talk of apologies in the current negotiations, and no side demanded it.'
Meanwhile, the Elysee Palace reported that the two presidents discussed commitments regarding NATO, as well as the situations in Syria and Libya.
US President Joe Biden characterized his meeting with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan as constructive. 'We had a positive and productive meeting. Our two countries have major programs. Our teams will continue discussions, and I am confident that we will achieve real progress with Turkey and the United States,' Biden stated during a press briefing following the talks.
