«No one should take offense at our UAV sale to Ukraine: this is business,» says Cavusoglu

The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has commented on Moscow's 'advice' to halt military cooperation with Kyiv, particularly regarding the sale of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Turkish minister confirmed the intention to support the 'de-occupation of Crimea' and described the sale of Bayraktar TB2 UAVs to Ukraine as a business transaction, as reported by NTV.

"Our position on Crimea is well known; we communicate this to the Russians. We emphasize that the decision is political. No one should take offense at the sale of UAVs to Ukraine. This is business," said Cavusoglu, adding that Moscow supplies missiles to Syria and other countries, which Ankara does not question.

Cavusoglu noted that there is a high demand for unmanned aerial vehicles worldwide, which Turkey intends to meet.

It is worth mentioning that in April, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that there are serious disagreements with Ukraine regarding the Crimean issue, which are unlikely to be resolved, and that the Turkish side's position, which is incorrect, might be changeable.
