Lilit Makunts on the Abduction of Armenian Servicemen

The session of the National Assembly has just begun. Notably, Ararat Mirzoyan did not comment on the abduction of our servicemen. Instead, Lilit Makunts spoke about the issue.

She stated that Armenian servicemen have been abducted, not just captured: "This is happening at a time when all our international partners are not providing an adequate assessment; they are not calling things by their names. I urge all our partners to give a clear assessment and stance regarding Azerbaijan's unacceptable actions. There is an expectation among our society for the CSTO to respond very promptly. The delay in that rapid response may lead to such developments.

To avoid further clashes and tensions, the security system, which includes Armenia and international partners concerned about such unacceptable actions and developments in the South Caucasus, regarding the territorial integrity of Armenia as a sovereign state, needs to receive a clear assessment," she said.

Lilit Makunts then asked Ararat Mirzoyan, the President of the National Assembly, for a 20-minute break.
