Ararat Mirzoyan Will Go as Ambassador: Who Does Pashinyan See as Speaker of the National Assembly?
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports: 'Although the ruling party's pre-election list has not changed significantly compared to 2018, if the Civil Contract Party (CP) is re-elected, there will be significant changes in the distribution of positions. For example, despite Ararat Mirzoyan being second on the list, Pashinyan is not inclined to make him the Speaker of the National Assembly again, believing that he has been passive and has not defended the interests of the Prime Minister and the team.'
'Mirzoyan could be appointed as an ambassador in another country. There are also similar complaints about Tigran Avinyan. Both have not only been absent during difficult times but have also 'played games' with the opposition. According to some information, the position of Speaker of the National Assembly could go to Suren Papikyan, who does not exceed others in any way, but has managed to shape the image of a working, serious person, who, apparently, will crumble a few days after becoming the Speaker of the National Assembly.'
'The upcoming parliament will have a much more complex composition, and it is unlikely that Papikyan will manage to cope with that work. As for the businessmen considered for the list, they are interested in executive positions, and after the elections, they will appear in the government, while Khachatur Sukiasyan will likely take the position of Yerevan Mayor. Among the surprises on the CP list are also General Gagik Melikonyan, actor Gnel Sanosyan, Vigen Khachatryan, who has changed several parties, former Republican Sergey Bagratyan, as well as former Minister Hakob Arshakyan, who was dismissed for assaulting a journalist, and former Vayots Dzor Governor Tirdat Sargsyan, the chief of staff of the CP, who was relieved of duty after a well-known incident of assault.'
Current MPs that were not included in the list are the Speaker's patron Anna Karapetyan, Nikolay Bagdasaryan, Artak Manukyan, and others.'
